Stuart Johnston
Stuart Johnston is formerly Graphico’s front-end expert in Web Accessibility, CSS and XHTML. He holds a MA in Electronic Media from The Oxford Centre for International Publishing Studies and has previously worked at Microsoft and the Guardian Media Group.
Stuart is a commercially pragmatic advocate of web standards and a member of The Guild of Accessible Web Designers. He has developed and advised on a large range of projects including The London Eye, CrossCountry Trains and One Wimpole Street at the Royal Society of Medicine.
Stuart has conducted quantitative and qualitative accessibility audits for several of Graphico's major clients. He is an experienced advisor to account managers, project teams, visual designers, application developers and those new to the field of web accessibility.
“I think it's fair to say I've added web accessibility considerations to a broad range of websites for Graphico including the BBC, Pepsi, Quaker - even Ant & Dec at ITV. Sometimes it was requested - sometimes not - but I managed to squeeze it in somehow and in the commercial sector that's an achievement.”
Please note - these portfolio items were lovingly created while Stuart was an employee of Graphico. Peace & love.
